Servicing your Aquatec water treatment system couldn't be easier. Because the system is fully automated
it runs entirely by itself and only needs occasional refills of salt, which is used to purify the water.
Of course, it will remind you when you need to to pup the salt refill so that you don't run out and filters only
need to replaced when they are exhausted.
You can also get extra filters for your Aquatec system, depending on your requirements. If you have a particularly
chlorinated water supply, you can choose from 2 types of Chlorine filters, and if you prefer to have extra filtration
for your home's water, we supply a Reverse Osmosis system, which has multiple high-quality filters, which are useful
for home water supply with lots of unwanted impurities. These are the two most common filters to compliment your
Aquatec system, but we also have a range of other filters, please contact us if you have a specific requirement.

Extra filtration for chlorinated local water
Whole house chlorine filtration is perfect for homes with municipally treated water. Our chlorine filter systems are
designed to help solve a wide range of special water treatment problems, and are built for long-life and trouble-free
operation. Available in Hysulex II, or Super Hysulex filtration media for unsurpassed control of chlorine, bacteria and
volatile organic chemicals (VOC's).

Choice of specially Graded Filter Media
Aquatec offers a choice of premium filter media to handle a range of specific water quality problems. HYSULEX II (H) is a
highly activated carbon with acres and acres of surface area to absorb bad tastes, odours and other unwanted substances
in your water.
SUPER HYSULEX (SH) utilises silver impregnated carbon for reduction of VOC's, including Trihalomethanes, and
to inhibit the growth of bacteria on the filtering media. A more porous material than regular carbon, these carbons have
highly developed internal surface areas, providing greater capacity for absorption. Manufactured to be cleaner, stronger and
harder than industry standard carbons.

Tank-Within-A-Tank Construction
It's rugged tank is wound with over 3 miles of glass filament for extraordinary strength. Inside there's another tank of
sanitary plastic so your drinking water will never touch the interior fibreglass surface.
Downflow Design
Filters out sediment as well as removing unwanted tastes and odours. NOTE: Tank size and local water pressure will affect
unit's operating flow rate.

Multiple chamber filtering for purer water
The Reverse Osmosis system further filters home water supplies, which is especially useful for households
that have the need to remove more than normal impurities from their tap water. It is also a great advantage
for those with skin conditions, such as dry skin or eczema. The water is passed through a combination
sediment and carbon filter to remove all particles 10 microns and larger in size, then reduces chlorine
by entering through the carbon portion. The water is then forced through a semipermeable membrane and the
dissolved solids are rejected. Most impurities at this point, such as lead, mercury, nitrates and cysts are
flushed to drain.
Polishes, removes odour and taste
When water is required, is is drawn from the storage tank, but on it's way out it is forced through an
activated carbon filter. This final polishing filter reduces VOC's (volatile organic containment), impurities,
odour and taste. Once it has been through this final process, the pure, filtered water flows from the tap.
